Geographical Location
Located in the Catalonia region of Spain, within the province of Tarragona, approximately 120 kilometers from Barcelona, close to the Mediterranean Sea, and adjacent to the Montsant region. Steep, towering mountains surround this production area, which, although only covering 11 small villages, offers breathtaking views. The vineyards in this region are mostly located on steep slopes, with altitudes ranging from 100 to 700 meters. As you arrive at Priorat along the winding mountain roads, you can enjoy the rich tapestry formed by olive trees, almond trees, and the scattered vineyards, all of which add a profound regional soil background to Priorat wines.

Environmental Characteristics
The climatic conditions in Priorat are unique among Spanish red wine regions, characterized by a dual type of Mediterranean and continental climate:
Climate: Mediterranean climate but with continental characteristics. Hot and dry in summer, cold in winter, with significant temperature fluctuations between day and night, which help accumulate acidity and aromatic compounds in the grapes.
Soil: Predominantly unique "Llicorella" soil, mixed with slate and trace quartz. This rare stony soil has excellent drainage, forcing the vines to root deeper in search of water, stimulating grape accumulation, and obtaining more mineral nutrients, which impart a rich mineral flavor to the wines.
Production data: The total area of vineyards in the region is only about 2,000 hectares, with 567 vineyards and 109 wineries, with an annual production of about 1 million bottles, each bottle being a perfect interpretation of "few but fine."

1. Garnacha (Grenache)
